You will not find any cars and roads next to our yurts, no ikea furniture and no electricity, but you will slow down, connect with the mountains. . They are available all year round even in the winter, in fact staying during the winter is a great experience, the feeling of being in our warm insulated yurts when it’s cold outside is very cosy.  Situated in Crechets a hamlet in The Valley de Barousse, Haute Pyrenees, SW France on the route for the Port de Bales, a famous climb for the Tour de France.

We have designed our Yurt Village as a holiday destination that is absolutely ideal for families, romantic breaks and honeymooners.

We could not be in a better location for so many sporting activities that are available on the doorstep such as cycling, hiking, rafting and rock climbing. We are  close to Troubat which is a well known and respected rock climbing face  and also  the Port De Bales one of the toughest cols the Tour De France cyclists ride. During the winter the ski resorts of Peyragudes, Superbagneres and Le Mourtis are just 30 minutes away by car.  So if your keen on any of these sports our Yurts make an interesting option for an overnight stay or indeed longer.  However if all you want to do is unwind and relax  our Yurt Village is for you. Its a getaway from it all experience we want our guests to  feel remoteness and tranquility. We are open all year whatever the weather.

Our Yurts were sourced from China and we have tried very hard to keep the theme of Mongolian culture running through the Yurts. The Yurts are fully insulated in four layers for your comfort and each one is fitted with a central woodburning stove.  We have tastefully decorated the interiors with mongolian inspired furniture and plently of rugs, throws and cushions to keep you  very toasty and warm in the winter months.

The Yurts sleep up to four people comfortably and it is possible to have one baby in a cot.  smoke 3The Yurts are positioned on our top field which has a stunning panoramic view of the valley. However due to the their locality and wanting to keep our beautiful land a car free zone it is not permitted to drive cars up to the land so the site is unsuitable for anyone who is disabled or infirm.

We are a campground and we currently offer self catering for our guests. We have an outdoor kitchen for you to use which includes a gas hob, oven and microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment, food prep area, cupboards stocked with cutlery, pates, cups and cooking utensils. There is also a large Gas BBQ for you to use.  Additionally there are picnic tables to enjoy your meals and an undercover area in case of bad weather. We do not have a washing machine facility at the moment but there is a self service laundry at the Super U supermarket just a five minute drive away. Fast washes within 30mins for 4 euros.

On arrival at our village there is one parking space for each yurt which is 170 meters from the yurts,  we will transport your luggage in our tractor/trailer. The toilet and kitchen area is 70 meters from the yurts.

We are in the mountains so the weather is very variable so please bring good footware with you to access the facilities on site. The path up the hill is covered in stone so you will not get muddy.

During the summer season you will be able to use our communal pool and patio area. We also have a toddlers pool for the little ones who cannot swim and extensive gardens and land for your relaxation.The pool is fully fenced with a locked gate, but please supervise your children at all times.
